.Fotopage Gold, a Photoshop plug-in, will create contact sheets in a variety of "layouts" which are highly customizable. They can be printed vertically/horizontally, with different amounts of space between each image, and with/without caption information. It handles a wide variety of formats and file sizes, it's MUCH faster than the contact sheet function in Photoshop 5.5 and earlier and is always faster than Contact Sheet II in Photoshop 6.0 & 7.0. The 15 day demo (less than 500k) places an infinitimages.com "watermark" over each image, which is turned off when registered.
